Police Sergeant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Police Sergeant to join our team at The Tennessee Board of Regents. As a key member of our public safety team, you will be responsible for enforcing laws, maintaining order, and ensuring the safety and security of our campus community.

• Enforce laws, regulations, and policies to maintain a safe and secure environment
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and crimes, and prepare reports as necessary
• Provide training and guidance to other law enforcement personnel
• Collaborate with other departments and agencies to ensure effective public safety
• Respond to emergencies and provide support as needed

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Three years of relevant law enforcement experience
• Valid Tennessee driver's license
• Current certification by the Tennessee Peace Officer Standards and Training (P.O.S.T.) Commission
• Ability to pass a medical examination, drug screen, and psychological evaluation
• Ability to pass a thorough background investigation

• Supervisory experience
• Associate's degree or higher
• Training experience and Field Training Officer certification in Tennessee
• Experience working in a campus safety and security environment

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, respond to emergencies, and work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

The selected candidate will be required to undergo a thorough background investigation and pass a medical examination, drug screen, and psychological evaluation.
