Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and spiritually gifted individual to serve as our Senior Youth Minister. This role is a critical component of our Kingdom Fellowship A.M.E. Church team, responsible for leading, developing, and implementing engaging youth programs that promote Christian values, discipleship, and service to the community.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for sharing their faith and ministering to students and families. They will be responsible for providing guidance and mentorship to youth, educating them on the faith, and providing relevant teaching and counseling to grow in their faith of Jesus Christ.

  • This includes creating and leading worship that encourages spiritual growth and involvement in missions, preaching sermons that are biblically relevant, and organizing mission opportunities.
  • The successful candidate will also provide spiritual covering for youth and their families, including prayer, preaching, teaching, and visits.
Key Responsibilities

The Senior Youth Minister will work collaboratively with staff and volunteers to develop and implement strategic plans that advance the goals and objectives of our Kingdom Youth Ministry. Key responsibilities include:

  • Coaching staff and volunteers to support the advancement of KYM objectives;
  • Ensuring team members have the necessary resources to contribute to the success of their roles;
  • Communicating regularly with leadership, colleagues, and volunteers to ensure alignment with goals and priorities;
  • Developing reports on KYM activities to provide insight into reach and impact;
  • Establishing and participating in meetings to discuss strategies, outcomes, and initiatives.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in religion, theology, education, or a related field, with 3-5 years of experience working in youth ministry. A Master of Divinity is preferred. The successful candidate will also demonstrate exceptional communication skills, proficiency in MS Office Suite, and the ability to manage multiple assignments or projects simultaneously.

Work Environment

The Senior Youth Minister will work in an office environment while outreach efforts will require flexibility in location, time, and method. Collaboration and partnerships with other ministers and ministries outside of KYM are essential to support the KFAME mission and serving its members and constituents.

Benefits

We offer a competitive salary, along with benefits including medical, dental, vision, HSA, 403(b), and company-paid life insurance. Our estimated annual salary for this role is $ $63,000 - $75,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
