Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Talent Development Specialist to join our team at AppleOne. As a key member of our Operational team, you will be responsible for advising, monitoring, and tracking customer participation in our workforce development programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Counsel and assist customers with job search strategies, personal career advisement, and training needs.
  • Help customers identify and work with barriers to employment.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records and ensure smooth transition of cases across services and programs.
  • Manage day-to-day relationships with customers, ensuring their concerns are addressed promptly with a plan of action.
  • Critique resumes and maintain an understanding of a vast array of occupations/careers for effective placement of customers.
  • Demonstrate strategies for re-engaging customers after training completion, show effective use of the standards of the Case Management Model, and the policies and procedures for Career Advisement.
Requirements
  • You are a self-motivated and flexible team player.
  • You consider yourself to have strong computer, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • You're creative and goal-oriented, work well under pressure, and are comfortable meeting multiple deadlines.
  • You take pride in your ability to relate to and motivate individuals, especially those facing barriers to employment.
  • You have a bachelor's degree or higher in a related field and/or 2+ years of working in a career counseling role.
