LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE (LPN)
Full Time, Night Shifts
Position Overview:
- Facilitates nursing services for the assigned unit, adhering to the Nursing Practice Act, under the guidance of a Registered Nurse.
- Assigns responsibilities to nursing staff and monitors their performance under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Monitors patients for any symptoms or reactions, including both physical and mental health indicators that may suggest a negative change.
- Assists in alerting the attending physician in case of emergencies or patient fatalities. Implements physician orders as directed.
- Performs additional responsibilities as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Licensed Practical Nurse, with graduation from an accredited nursing program.
- Current and valid license from the North Carolina Board of Nursing, with proof of renewal submitted biennially.
- Willingness to serve as charge nurse and provide support during emergencies to ensure adequate staffing.
- Ability to deliver high-quality nursing care, adhere to medical directives, and demonstrate a genuine interest in geriatric care.
- CPR certification required annually.
- Participation in in-service training and staff meetings as necessary.
