Job Overview

E Tech Group is a leading engineering and system integration firm providing value to clients through IT automation and control solutions. We are seeking an experienced Senior Controls Engineer to lead or contribute to detailed hardware and software design of process automation control systems projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement application/control systems design and development for systems of varying complexity
  • Evaluate alternative system solutions that meet stated requirements and modify program/system logic involving multiple systems and subsystems
  • Develop proficiency in several programming languages and control device networks for PLCs, PCs, and other automation systems
  • Interact with clients to gain an understanding of their business environment and define scope, plans, and deliverables for assigned work
  • Work successfully in a team environment, focused on customer service and continuous improvement
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related fields
  • 5+ years of experience in controls engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • PLC and Ignition experience required, with proficiency in troubleshooting control systems and understanding of process controls
  • Control system validation experience in pharmaceutical/biotech systems a plus
  • Rockwell experience with products such as ControlLogix, CompactLogix, PlantPAx, Factory Talk Software Suite, Studio 5000, PLC5, SLC500, RSView, PanelView Plus, etc.
  • Other PLC platform experience (GE, Siemens, Modicon) and SCADA and HMI package experience (Proficy and Wonderware)
  • Experience implementing detailed control system electrical design packages and working knowledge of control system networks (Ethernet, ControlNet, DeviceNet, etc.)
  • Understanding of Biopharmaceutical processes, GMP, and validation, as well as knowledge of S88 Batch standards and experience implementing batch systems
  • Instrumentation experience and excellent written and verbal communication skills
