Key Responsibilities:- Provide prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service, addressing customers by name whenever possible.
- Assist customers with finding products, loading or unloading heavy items, and making note of and passing along customer suggestions or requests.
- Answer the telephone promptly and provide helpful service to customers who call.
- Stock received product and supplies, and mark stickers accordingly.
- Work with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment.
- Review prescriptions that are not picked up as requested by the department manager.
- Order product and supplies at the department manager's request.
- Review invoices on product received.
- Clean and maintain the pharmacy area to ensure a clean and inviting appearance.
- Perform cash transactions and adhere to company policies and individual store guidelines.
- High school or equivalent experience.
- Over six months up to one year of similar or related experience.
- Ability to follow written, verbal, or diagrammatic instructions.
- Ability to do basic math calculations.
- Ability to file, post, and mail materials.
- Ability to guide people and provide customer service.
This position is exposed to noise on a daily basis and requires a fast-paced work environment with significant pressure. There is an occasional exposure to dangerous chemicals/solvents while compounding products and chemotherapy drugs.
This position requires the ability to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, exert up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and exert a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Visual requirements include vision from less than 20 inches to more than 20 feet with or without correction, depth perception, color vision, and field of vision.
