Pharmacy Technician

The Cherokee Indian Hospital Authority is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting the pharmacy team in the preparation and dispensing of medications.

• Assist pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications, including calculating dosages and preparing sterile reconstitutions and intravenous admixtures.
• Manage inventory and supplies, including ordering, receiving, and stocking medications and supplies.
• Process prescriptions and maintain accurate records, including patient charts and medication orders.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare staff, answering questions and addressing concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
• Work collaboratively with the pharmacy team to ensure efficient and effective operation of the pharmacy.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; pharmacy technician certification preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
• Basic math skills and ability to accurately calculate dosages and quantities.

The Pharmacy Technician will work in a healthcare environment, with frequent contact with patients, healthcare staff, and other pharmacy team members. The position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks effectively, and maintain accuracy and attention to detail.
