Position Overview:

The Regulatory Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting our Colorado team by managing diverse and intricate tasks. This position is responsible for ensuring the precision, thoroughness, and processing of all compliance-related data through expertise, application, and collaboration with multiple regulatory bodies.

  • Proven expertise in regulatory compliance within upstream oil and gas operations.
  • Familiarity with permitting and reporting for horizontal wells.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Adept at cultivating and navigating relationships with governmental agencies and internal stakeholders, including the capability to create comprehensive reports and presentations that effectively influence at all organizational levels.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Visio.
  • Meticulous attention to detail is critical for success in this role.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the oil and gas sector.
  • Experience utilizing TRRC/OCC/OTC and other relevant platforms for title research.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Highly organized with the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of TRRC Rule 86, Rule 37, and Rule 38.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; equivalent work experience with specific skills will also be considered.
  • 5+ years of experience in regulatory roles.
  • Resourceful in regulatory information to ensure the smooth flow of documents necessary for uninterrupted field operations.
  • Familiarity with petro-technical terminology.
  • Understanding of regulatory and permitting processes, particularly in Texas.
  • Ability to anticipate and proactively address potential issues.
  • Advanced computer skills and knowledge of various discipline-specific software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication capabilities.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
