Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Health Supervisor to lead our Water Quality program at Summit County Public Health. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for serving the community and a proven track record in public health or a related field.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage the Water Quality program, including overseeing budgets, contract services, and statistical reports.
  • Supervise and oversee the work of Water Quality staff, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.
  • Conduct Sewage Treatment System (STS) permitting, STS Maintenance, and Private Water Systems (PWS) reviews, approval/inspections, water sampling, and complaint investigations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure effective program implementation and community engagement.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 30 semester hours (or 45 quarter hours) in the sciences.
  • 3-5 years of experience in public health or a related field.
  • Maintenance of the Registered Environmental Health Specialist credential from the Ohio Department of Health.
