Job Summary:

CodeForce is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in Mauston, WI. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for a group of patients in the department.
Use the nursing process to provide individualized care to patients, taking into account their unique needs and medical diagnosis.
Develop and document patient plans of care, setting priorities for nursing action in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
Provide care independently with minimal supervision, responding to life-threatening situations based on nursing standards, policies, and protocols.
Maintain a comprehensive understanding of procedures and treatments, explaining them to patients at their level of understanding.
Perform or assist with procedures per approved departmental policy and procedure.
Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate, utilizing computerized documentation systems.
Acknowledge physician orders by reviewing and verifying them in the electronic medical record (EMR), following through on orders or delegating in a timely fashion.
Be proficient in medication administration, including IV therapy, with a focus on preventing medication errors.
Initiate patient/family education plans and discharge needs, as prescribed by the provider and/or hospital policy.
Delegate to and collaborate with other health team members in planning and providing care based on patient needs.
Learn and maintain skills and equipment competencies as needed.
Safely care for multiple patients, maintaining a safe environment and using safety precautions, including Universal Precautions, asepsis, and infection control procedures.
Ensure proper handling of specimens and float to other units as necessary.
Participate in department or unit quality improvement activities and attend unit meetings in accordance with unit policy.

Requirements:

Two-year degree in nursing required; four-year degree preferred.
Must hold and maintain a nursing license; RNs with an active Compact Licensure are to obtain a Wisconsin RN license within 90 days of hire.
ACLS within 2 years of hire; PALS encouraged within 2 years of hire.
Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail required.
Intermediate proficiency with computers required.
Comprehensive nursing skills and general knowledge of equipment required.
Strong skills to manage, coordinate, and evaluate the care and education of patients and family required.
Strong quantitative and analytical competency required.
Self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills required.
