Job Summary

The Maintenance Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our operations at Oldcastle Infrastructure. This position is responsible for maintaining the functionality of our equipment, machinery, and facilities to support the production of our products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and machinery to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of facilities and equipment to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with production teams to understand equipment needs and develop solutions to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Design, fabricate, and install custom equipment and fixtures to meet specific operational requirements.
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules to minimize equipment failures and reduce maintenance costs.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, replacements, and inspections.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to identify opportunities for process enhancements and cost savings.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent required; technical degree or certification preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in maintenance, repair, or operations; experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Ability to read and comprehend technical manuals, diagrams, and instructions.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to troubleshoot equipment issues and develop solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with production teams and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
