Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect and oversee drug screen collections with precision and accuracy.
  • Utilize computer systems and paper chain and custody forms to ensure accurate completion and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Receive, sort, and prepare clinical lab specimens for testing and analysis, adhering to strict quality control protocols.
  • Perform scanning and/or data entry of specimen and patient information, maintaining confidentiality and data integrity.
  • Ensure all lab equipment is functioning correctly and perform minor maintenance as needed to prevent downtime and optimize workflow.
  • Troubleshoot specimen-related issues to maintain workflow and minimize delays.
  • Replenish test bench supplies to ensure operational efficiency and productivity.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with safety protocols and regulatory standards.
  • Complete record logs and perform other administrative duties as requested, providing accurate and timely reporting.
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures to uphold safety and quality standards, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, with a strong foundation in science and mathematics.
  • Previous experience in a medical, lab, or production environment, with a focus on laboratory procedures and protocols.
  • Comfort with handling biological specimens and equipment, with a strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment, meeting established turn-around times and deadlines.
  • Must pass a standardized color blindness test, with a strong commitment to safety and quality.
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed, with a willingness to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
