Summary

As a Medical Laboratory Scientist, you will be responsible for performing and monitoring laboratory testing of patient specimens, confirming and interpreting results, and recognizing technical and instrumental problems.

Responsibilities
  • Perform and monitor laboratory testing of patient specimens
  • Confirm and interpret results
  • Recognize technical and instrumental problems
  • Assume responsibility for accuracy, quality control, and instrument maintenance
  • May provide training to laboratory and/or other healthcare personnel
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Medical Laboratory Science/Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory, Chemical, Physical, or Biological Science
  • Certification as a Medical Technologist (or equivalent) or as a categorical technologist (e.g., C, H, I, BB, M) by a recognized professional organization (e.g., ASCP, AMT)
  • Must be able to work any shift, holiday, and/or weekend, and travel among company sites as needed
