Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Northwest Texas Healthcare System. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality respiratory care to our patients, utilizing your expertise in respiratory therapy to make a meaningful impact on their lives.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care for patients with respiratory conditions, utilizing your knowledge of respiratory therapy principles and practices.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' respiratory status, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to address these needs.
  • Administer respiratory therapy treatments, including oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, and mechanical ventilation, as prescribed by physicians.
  • Monitor patients' responses to therapy, making adjustments as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
Requirements
  • Current Registered Respiratory Therapist license by the Texas Medical Board.
  • Graduate of a 2-year approved AMA School of Respiratory Care or non-traditional degree program.
  • Current Registered Respiratory Therapist credential from the NBRC at date of hire.
  • 2-3 years clinical experience preferred.
  • Must have current BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire and maintain certification throughout employment.
