Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in an assigned area, ensuring adherence to protocols under the guidance of the Registered Nurse.
2. Collaborate with the Primary Nurse and Nursing Care Coordinator to effectively plan and coordinate patient care.
3. Implement the nursing process as directed by the Primary Nurse, ensuring all procedures are performed accurately.
4. Maintain accurate records of nursing care and promptly communicate significant information to the Primary Nurse and/or Nursing Care Coordinator.
5. Execute treatments and procedures as delegated by a Registered Nurse, ensuring compliance with established standards.
6. Foster positive relationships with patients, families, and healthcare team members to enhance the overall patient experience.
7. Possess a thorough understanding of medication dosages, side effects, and reactions, and administer medications as prescribed, excluding experimental drugs.
8. Administer narcotics as required, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
9. Perform additional related duties as necessary to support the nursing team.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Completion of an accredited practical nursing program.
- Valid license to practice as a Practical Nurse in New York State and/or Connecticut is mandatory.
- Strong communication skills are essential for effective patient interaction.
Compensation Information:
The salary range provided is a preliminary estimate of potential base compensation for successful candidates at the time of this job posting. Factors influencing salary may include location, specialty, service line, relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget considerations, and internal equity.
