About the Role

Riverside Health System is seeking a highly skilled Certified Ophthalmic Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our ophthalmology department, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our physicians in delivering top-notch medical services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including visual acuity tests and slit lamp exams
  • Prepare prescription refills for physician review and signature
  • Facilitate patient education through brochures and videos
  • Assist with referral and dictation letters, as well as returning calls to patients and pharmacies
Requirements
  • High School Graduate or GED Equivalent
  • 1-3 years of experience in an ophthalmology or optometry office
  • JCAHPO, Certified Ophthalmic Assistant certification
