We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Meat/Seafood Clerk to join our team at Big Y. As a key member of our grocery department, you will be responsible for ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and high-quality products.
Key Responsibilities- Product Preparation and Presentation: Prepare, weigh, finish, slice, price, package, and stock meat and seafood products to meet customer demands.
- Department Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized department, including the sales floor, backroom, freezer, and cooler.
- Equipment Operation and Maintenance: Operate, clean, and reassemble equipment and machinery to ensure efficient and safe operations.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, answering questions and making recommendations to customers about our meat and seafood products.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will also need to be physically able to lift and move products as needed.
