Key Responsibilities:

The Finance Manager - Credit will be responsible for:

  • Leading the credit and collections department with supervisory duties.
  • Offering insights to enhance the overall credit risk management strategy of the company.
  • Preparing and delivering updates on the functional area to senior management and the board.
  • Collaborating with sales, accounting, and external clients to proactively resolve payment issues and serve as the subject matter expert on policy changes affecting credit and collections.
  • Overseeing the implementation and optimization of automated cash application software.
  • Coordinating with Manufacturing Finance teams regarding customer inquiries related to short shipments.
  • Working alongside FP&A and Accounting on credit matters that influence cash flow and P&L performance.
  • Managing the company's REMAN Core process, policy, and accounting.
  • Ensuring adherence to the company's credit policies and procedures.
  • Conducting thorough financial analyses to evaluate risk levels in extending credit.
  • Assessing the creditworthiness of potential clients.
  • Executing month-end journal entries related to credit, collections, and core accounting.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., CPA, CCE) are advantageous.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in credit management, finance, or accounting, with a focus on evaluating credit risk and managing credit policies.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and decision-making abilities for assessing creditworthiness and financial risk. Proficiency in financial analysis and credit evaluation techniques. Excellent communication and negotiation skills for effective interaction with clients and internal teams. Capability to develop and implement credit policies and procedures.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, for financial modeling and reporting.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with credit laws, regulations, and best practices, as well as financial statements, credit reports, and risk assessment tools.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead and manage a credit team, including setting objectives and providing guidance.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong relationship-building skills for collaboration with clients and other departments, along with problem-solving abilities for addressing credit-related challenges.
