Job SummaryWe are seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our Owners Engineering group, specializing in owners engineering, development engineering, and quality assurance. The successful candidate will possess a wide range of knowledge and experience in the development, design, installation, and operation of commercial and utility-scale solar PV and energy storage systems.
Key Responsibilities- Review and quality assurance of technical documents, including drawings, reports, and contracts
- Conduct technical due diligence on designs by third-party EORs and in-house projects
- Technology evaluation and risk assessment
- Generate PVsyst models and evaluate third-party models
- Development engineering, including planning, conceptual designs, interconnection, equipment selection, and energy models
- Field engineering, including on-site visual inspections and construction monitoring site visits
- Leadership and subject matter expertise, including elevating technical capabilities and contributing to a centralized knowledge base
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar discipline
- Experience in commercial and utility-scale solar PV, with energy storage experience a plus
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and PVsyst, with knowledge of SKM and Etap preferred
- Able to communicate technical issues to non-technical clients
- Familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC)
- 2+ years' experience in solar engineering and PV industry
