About this Role

Palm Beach State College is seeking a highly qualified faculty member to join our team in the field of Information Management. As a tenure-track professor, you will be responsible for instructing college students in accordance with educational theories and techniques, developing discipline-related curricula, assessing student learning, and participating in program evaluation and college activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Instruct college students in Information Management courses, utilizing a variety of teaching methods and technologies to engage students and promote learning.
  • Develop and implement curriculum that aligns with the College's mission and strategic plan, ensuring that students receive a high-quality education that prepares them for success in their chosen field.
  • Assess student learning and progress, using a variety of assessment methods to evaluate student understanding and identify areas for improvement.
  • Participate in program evaluation and college activities, contributing to the development of new programs and initiatives that support the College's mission and strategic plan.
Requirements
  • Doctoral degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, or Project Management.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, and on multiple campuses as needed.
  • Teaching and occupational experience recognized.
  • Ability to demonstrate the use of technology in the classroom and to use the technology required for assigned courses.
  • Cultural competency to engage and work with a diverse student and employee population.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification(s) from one or more of the following: International Project Management Association (IPMA), Project Management Institute (PMI).
