Job Title: MicroStation CAD Designer

At Stantec, we're committed to fostering an inclusive community of diverse talents, backgrounds, and expertise. We're seeking a skilled MicroStation CAD Designer to join our Environmental Services team in Richmond or Fredericksburg, Virginia.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare plans for stream restoration, stormwater management, and water quality improvement projects.
  • Design customized maps for clients and ensure timely and effective project delivery.
  • Interact with clients to secure and transmit digital information.
  • Participate in team-based work and check discipline-related drawings and documents.
Your Capabilities and Credentials:
  • Ability to utilize/import raster and vector data, including digital orthophotos, global positioning data, and geographic information system data.
  • Proficiency in Computer Assisted Drafting/Design (CADD), MS Office, and other related applications.
  • Experience in reading and interpreting transportation and land plans.
  • Strong written, verbal, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3-5 years of Microstation V8i drafting/design/CADD experience.
  • CADD drafting skills using Open Roads, AutoCadd 2020, and Civil 3D, and Arc-GIS a plus.

Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements, including inclement weather.
