Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Estimator to join our team at Miller Electric Company. As a key member of our preconstruction team, you will be responsible for reviewing plans, specifications, and gathering details necessary for accurate estimating of assigned projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Review project plans, specifications, and information to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  2. Develop takeoffs for electrical systems, including lighting, branch lighting, distribution, feeders, fire alarms, and communication systems.
  3. Enter takeoff data into estimating programs and determine final prices within program parameters.
  4. Prepare scopes of work and present to customers and project managers.
  5. Collaborate with suppliers to obtain material quotes and work with general contractors as required.
  6. Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

Requirements:

  • Computer skills, including proficiency in estimating software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Electrical systems knowledge and construction experience preferred.
  • Ability to work with complex projects, understand details of project management, and handle confidential information.
