We are seeking a skilled Aircraft Window Technician to join our team at Total Aerospace Services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional aircraft window services to our clients, including inspecting, repairing, and replacing windows.
Key Responsibilities:- Inspect and assess aircraft windows for damage or defects
- Repair scratches, pits, and other window damage
- Remove and install replacement windshields and windows
- Utilize orbital sanders and various grits of sandpaper to restore damaged areas
- Review and interpret technical data relevant to your tasks
- Manage the acquisition of purchase orders from customers
- Coordinate service schedules with aircraft owners/operators and maintenance managers
- Complete and submit billing information and evaluation forms
- Provide airworthiness documents to customers upon job completion
- A&P license or AMT certificate
- 1 year of orbital sanding experience preferred
- Auto body experience preferred
- Previous aircraft experience preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical manuals
The physical demands of this role include standing on wings, moving in and out of cockpits, and working inside and outside aircraft. Travel is required, with working hours ranging from 2 to 12 per day depending on demand.
