Aircraft Window Technician Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Aircraft Window Technician to join our team at Total Aerospace Services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional aircraft window services to our clients, including inspecting, repairing, and replacing windows.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and assess aircraft windows for damage or defects
  • Repair scratches, pits, and other window damage
  • Remove and install replacement windshields and windows
  • Utilize orbital sanders and various grits of sandpaper to restore damaged areas
  • Review and interpret technical data relevant to your tasks
  • Manage the acquisition of purchase orders from customers
  • Coordinate service schedules with aircraft owners/operators and maintenance managers
  • Complete and submit billing information and evaluation forms
  • Provide airworthiness documents to customers upon job completion
Requirements:
  • A&P license or AMT certificate
  • 1 year of orbital sanding experience preferred
  • Auto body experience preferred
  • Previous aircraft experience preferred
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical manuals
Working Conditions:

The physical demands of this role include standing on wings, moving in and out of cockpits, and working inside and outside aircraft. Travel is required, with working hours ranging from 2 to 12 per day depending on demand.
