Aircraft Technician II Job Description

Job Summary:


As an Aircraft Technician II at Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation, you will be responsible for performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs of moderate to advanced complexity on aircraft systems and structures. This role requires a strong understanding of FAA regulations, process specifications, and company policies and procedures.


Key Responsibilities:

  2. Perform Complex Aircraft Inspections and Repairs: Conduct thorough inspections and repairs of aircraft systems and structures with minimal supervision.

  3. Coordinate with Inspection Department: Work with the Inspection Department to ensure compliance with internal and FAA inspection and documentation requirements.

  4. Ensure Quality Standards: Ensure that all work accomplished meets quality standards and specifications.

  5. Identify and Store Customer Property: Properly identify and store customer property and equipment.

  6. Operate Ground Support Equipment: Follow standard operating procedures when operating ground support equipment.

  7. Coordinate Aircraft Movement: Coordinate and accomplish aircraft movement in hangar and ramp areas.

  8. Provide Training: Provide training to less experienced technicians.

  9. Protect Customer Property: Protect customer property (PTP).

Additional Responsibilities:

  2. Implement Lean Initiatives: Apply Lean/continuous improvement processes to all areas of responsibility.

  3. Use Company-Provided Tools: Properly use and maintain Company-provided tools and equipment.

  4. Comply with Safety Rules: Comply with safety rules and procedures and use protective equipment as required.

  5. Use Material Tracking System: Use the material tracking system to create parts demand, track squawks, and sign-offs, and to charge labor to correct work orders.

  6. Support Aircraft Certification: In support of aircraft certification and final phase testing, may include flight tests on aircraft as required.

Requirements:



  2. Working Knowledge: Working knowledge of the FAA regulations, process specifications, Repair Station and Quality Control manuals, and company policies and procedures.

  3. Language Skills: Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
