Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Lead Pharmacy Technician to join our team at PharmScript. As a key member of our Floor Technician department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient processing of finished products while maintaining compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Pharmacy Supervisor with daily functions and provide support to the team as needed.
  • Fulfill daily drug orders accurately and efficiently, under the supervision of a pharmacist, and assist in processing returned drugs and recycling/disposing of them according to procedure.
  • Assist in prepacking frequently ordered medications, labeling, and storing them as needed during low-volume times, and package materials and products manually.
  • Pull/pick medications from shelving and other medication storage areas (prepack racks) and apply labels to blistercards or artromick boxes, then scan products for accuracy checks.
  • Alert the pharmacist on duty of any medication/product that is not scanning properly and maintain designated workstation areas, replenishing all stock supplies as needed.
  • Comply with departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code, and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED is required, and a registered Pharmacy Technician in the applicable state is necessary.
  • One year or more of Long Term Care or Retail pharmacy experience is preferred, and the ability to work at a moderate speed is essential.
  • Reliability and the ability to work during inclement weather are also required.

  • May sit or stand seven (7) to ten (10) hours per day.
  • The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, walk, crawl intermittently.
  • May be necessary to work extended hours as needed.
  • May lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
