  • Follow the Daily Prep List to ensure all assigned duties are executed efficiently.
  • Prepare a diverse range of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and other ingredients using various cooking equipment.
  • Consistently adhere to standard portion sizes, cooking techniques, and quality expectations.
  • Portion food items prior to cooking based on established recipes and specifications.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation, including all kitchen equipment and surfaces.
  • Assist in closing the kitchen and ensure all tasks are completed as per the closing checklist.
  • Participate in scheduled team meetings and contribute suggestions for operational improvements.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or food quality issues to the supervising chef.
  • Notify the chef of any shortages in supplies or ingredients.
  • Utilize the Standard Recipe Card for all food preparations to ensure consistency.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the chef or kitchen manager.
  • Return unused food items to designated storage areas, ensuring proper labeling and dating.
  • Adhere to food safety regulations and maintain proper food storage temperatures.
  • Maintain a positive and professional demeanor when interacting with colleagues and customers.

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent experience.

Experience: At least one year of experience in food service or a related field.

Skills: Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and communicate effectively with kitchen staff.

Physical Requirements: The role involves lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying items weighing up to 70 lbs. Regular bending, kneeling, and mobility throughout the kitchen are required.

Work Environment: The position is primarily indoors, with exposure to varying temperatures in the kitchen and storage areas.
