Position Overview:

We are offering a Special Summer Incentive - External Only $10,000 SIGN ON BONUS and FREE HEALTH INSURANCE for the remainder of the year.

The Vascular Technologist is responsible for performing diagnostic examinations on patients, utilizing a comprehensive approach while adhering to quality control standards in a professional and respectful manner. This role involves executing a variety of technical procedures that necessitate independent judgment, creativity, and initiative.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION: Associate's Degree in a relevant field or a Certificate in Radiologic Technology.
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE: American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) - ARDMS Registered/Eligible upon hire. A valid driver's license is required for work-related travel.

Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Excellence and Patient Care: Conduct diagnostic ultrasound examinations in accordance with established departmental protocols by selecting and operating equipment accurately and understanding technical factors. Assist physicians in interpreting the technical components of completed examinations. Provide clear explanations of procedures to patients and their families to ensure understanding.

Coordinate patient schedules and procedures to optimize patient flow. Adhere to sterile techniques and prevent cross-contamination while assisting physicians. Facilitate the transfer of patients and provide necessary immobilization devices for positioning or transport. Review requisitions for completeness and accuracy, maintain proper documentation, and ensure the secure storage of completed exams. Stay informed about all Ultrasound Equipment utilized in the department.

Professional Development and Patient Education:
Stay updated on departmental and organizational developments by attending meetings, reviewing communications, and regularly checking the organization's intranet. Adhere to the department's work schedule and comply with CLIA, OSHA, Safety, and Risk Management guidelines. Maintain compliance with personnel policies and procedures. Monitor environmental conditions to protect patient health information. Exhibit behavior consistent with Corporate Compliance and HIPAA policies. Maintain consistent attendance and demonstrate initiative to enhance quality and customer service by striving to exceed expectations. Collaborate effectively with team members, valuing diverse perspectives, providing and receiving feedback, and prioritizing team success over individual interests. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Clinic Administrator to support the efficient operation of the office.
