About the Role

LSPI, a leading provider of flow improver solutions, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Reporting and Consolidations Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a critical role in managing our consolidations and financial reporting processes, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of financial statements and reports to internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Consolidations and Financial Reporting: Manage the consolidations and financial reporting processes, including monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing, to ensure accurate and timely financial statements and reports.
  • Reporting and Compliance: Prepare and deliver quarterly and yearly reporting packages, including SEC filings and surveys, to Berkshire Hathaway and other stakeholders.
  • Research and Analysis: Research new and proposed SEC rules and regulations, assessing their impact on our financial reporting and compliance.
  • Audit and Compliance: Manage requests and inquiries from internal and external auditors, ensuring timely delivery of tax return compliance deliverables, financial packages, and external audit requirements.
  • Consolidation Routines: Run consolidation routines to ensure proper accounting for issues such as currency translation, inter-company accounts, and investments in related parties.
  • Process Improvement: Maintain and improve the development and documentation of our consolidation program, making recommendations on moderately complex issues.
  • Project Leadership: Serve as project/technical lead on small to medium-sized projects, coordinating work with professionals, technicians, and others outside of your department.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited institution of higher education.
  • Experience: At least 6+ years of relevant experience with general ledger, consolidation, and intercompany transfer pricing policy.
  • Skills: Strong hands-on general ledger transactions and consolidation experience with a mid to large enterprise accounting system, effective oral and written communication skills, and experience in SAP S4 and a variety of financial software packages.
Preferred Qualifications
  • CPA and/or MBA: Certified Public Accountant and/or Master of Business Administration degree.
  • Private or Public Accounting Experience: Experience in private or public accounting, preferably in a similar role.
  • Group Reporting and SAC Experience: Experience in group reporting and SAC (Standardized Accounting Classification) systems.
