Key Responsibilities

The primary responsibility of a SkyWest Cabin Crew Member is to ensure the safety and comfort of our passengers during their flight. Additional duties include providing excellent customer service, serving meals and beverages, and managing various in-flight tasks. This dynamic role offers opportunities to travel, face new challenges, and engage with customers daily, embodying the spirit of SkyWest.
  • Ensure the safety and comfort of passengers onboard the aircraft.
  • Contribute positively to a collaborative work environment with colleagues and customers.
  • Efficiently prepare, serve, and replenish in-flight beverages, meals, and snacks, as well as manage onboard sales.
  • Welcome passengers, assist with carry-on luggage, and deliver important announcements.
  • Provide effective leadership and assistance during both emergency and non-emergency situations.
  • Handle passenger issues calmly during flights, including managing difficult situations and medical emergencies.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations by inspecting and operating aircraft cabin components and emergency equipment.
  • Adhere to established procedures and performance standards independently.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Must possess a valid U.S. or foreign passport with at least 12 months of validity from the application date, along with any necessary visas for travel.
  • Excellent English communication skills are essential for conveying safety information and writing clear reports regarding irregularities, emergencies, and security events.
  • Comfortable using basic electronic devices and personal electronic devices for various flight and training duties.
  • Willingness to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, up to 16 hours.
  • Able to travel frequently and spend extended periods alone without supervision.
  • Must demonstrate reliability and punctuality.
  • Willing to relocate to assigned crew domiciles after successful completion of training.
Physical and Other Requirements
  • Height and weight must comply with safety regulations, allowing for safe operation of the aircraft.
  • Must be physically capable of performing tasks requiring frequent walking, bending, and reaching, as well as lifting and moving items as needed.
  • Corrected vision should not exceed 20/40.
  • Normal or corrected hearing range should be within 15-17kHZ.
  • Professional appearance is required, including grooming standards.
  • Visible tattoos must adhere to company guidelines and must be covered if they do not comply.
  • Must wear a company-issued uniform and comply with any required health and safety measures.
Flight Hours: After completing initial training phases, new hire cabin crew members are guaranteed 76 flight hours as a reserve.

Compensation:
  • The starting pay is $28.86 per flight hour, with a guaranteed minimum compensation based on 76 flight hours.
Per Diem: Additionally, a per diem of $2.25 is provided for each hour on duty away from the home base.
