About the Role

Cleveland Group, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Project Manager to oversee and manage the electrical construction process of one or more projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring timely payment for services, promoting a positive team attitude, and making decisions within your expertise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Bid Management: Participate in bidding, support estimating, and review specifications and drawings.
  • Contract Administration: Ensure contract clarity, consistent scope, and compliance with terms. Manage indemnification and insurance.
  • Project Coordination: Facilitate contract signing, delivery to field and billing department, and obtain necessary authorizations.
  • Permitting and Bonding: Obtain insurance certificates, permits, and bonds. Prepare and monitor proposed budget and costs.
  • Pre-Construction Meetings: Coordinate pre-job meetings, develop schedules, and involve various stakeholders.
  • Project Monitoring: Manage project delays, resolve issues with customers, and monitor manpower loading.
  • Personnel Management: Request and approve personnel assignments, establish timetables, and negotiate contracts.
  • Engineering and Procurement: Monitor engineering, procurement, and construction progress against schedule and initiate any necessary action.
  • Field Operations: Maintain communication with field teams, overseeing safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with labor manager, maximize prefab department use, and coordinate with engineering.
  • Financial Management: Ensure timely record-keeping, approve invoices, and maintain contract profitability.
  • Policy Adherence: Adhere to Cleveland Group, Inc. policies, prepare project budgets, and schedules, and ensure team familiarity.
  • Project Budgeting: Monitor and control project budget, coordinate information flow, and initiate necessary actions.
  • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contract changes, obtain customer approvals, and coordinate insurance certifications.
  • Project Closure: Prepare O&M manuals, report problems promptly, and ensure timely project payments.
  • Material Procurement: Manage material procurement, oversee change orders, and write subcontracts using standard Cleveland Group, Inc. terms and conditions.
  • Contract Closure: Prepare accurate JPA's, review subcontractor billings, and ensure contract closure and payment.
Requirements
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience as an Electrical or Mechanical Construction Project Manager.
  • Knowledge: Basic understanding of the National Electric Code.
  • Software Proficiency: Exposure to BIM|VCD, scheduling software, and estimating software.
  • Construction Knowledge: Working knowledge of construction software, in-depth understanding of construction procedures, and material and project management principles.
  • Education: Related bachelor's degree and two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Software Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
