Speech Language Pathologist Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team as a school-based therapist. As part of our collaborative team, you will work closely with students to enhance their speech and language abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive speech and language assessments to identify students' strengths and areas for development
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on individual student needs and objectives, while maintaining accurate documentation
  • Deliver individual and group therapy sessions to enhance articulation, language comprehension, and communication skills
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and fellow healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for each student
  • Participate in meetings, training sessions, and workshops to stay updated on the latest therapy methods and best practices

Requirements:

  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Active Connecticut Speech-Language Pathology License
  • Prior experience working in schools or with pediatric populations is preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain thorough records, manage time efficiently, and prioritize tasks effectively
