Software Engineer Lead

At MITRE, we're committed to tackling our nation's toughest challenges. As a Senior Systems Engineer, you'll be part of an interdisciplinary team that develops creative solutions to evolve complex, mission-essential capabilities. You'll work with the USCENTCOM, US SOUTHCOM, and USSOCOM Combatant Command J2s to understand their Foundational Military Intelligence needs and design capabilities to address shortfalls.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide research in high technical areas, including cloud computing, information security, and systems integration.
  • Identify opportunities to integrate Combatant Command Capabilities with Enterprise capabilities.
  • Develop and coordinate system migration planning and transition activities.
  • Analyze identified security risks and coordinate the development of plan of action and milestone (POA&M) responses.
  • Review and provide recommendations on improving system documentation.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 5 years and a Master's degree, or a PhD with 3 years' experience.
  • 5 years of experience working with government sponsors.
  • In-depth knowledge of interface definitions, architecture, requirements, and systems engineering/interoperability practices.
  • Active US Government TS/SCI clearance and willingness and ability to pass government polygraph.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI with polygraph.
  • Bachelor's degree in a Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or related technical field.
  • Combatant Command experience at the operational and analytic level.
  • Intelligence Community Analysis Tradecraft expertise.

Salary compensation range and midpoint:

$141,000 - $176,000 - $211,000 Annual
