Position Overview

Caldera Care is seeking a dedicated and skilled Medication Administration Specialist to join our team. This full-time role is essential in ensuring our residents receive the highest standard of care.

Important Note: The certification requirements for medication administration in assisted living differ significantly from those in skilled nursing facilities. We require national certification rather than just state certification for medication delegation.

Available Shifts: Morning, Evening, and Night

Compensation: $28-$30 per hour, depending on experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer medications and treatments as outlined in individual care plans for assigned residents.
  • Supervise and guide nursing assistants to ensure all tasks are completed effectively.
  • Adhere to facility policies regarding infection control and safety protocols.
  • Complete all required documentation in the electronic health record system before the end of each shift.
  • Conduct assessments as directed by the supervising registered nurse or management.

Qualifications:

  • Active national licensure as a Medication Administration Certified Employee (MACE) or Washington State Nursing Assistant Certified (NAC) with relevant experience in a skilled nursing environment; a minimum of 1000 hours in the past year is required.
  • Proficient in English, with the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
  • Ability to provide at least two positive professional references.
