We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Upstate University Hospital. As a Rheumatology Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care in our outpatient setting, working closely with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure optimal outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide professional nursing care to patients with rheumatology conditions, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care needs.
- Function as an infusion nurse, nurse triage, and nurse educator, providing education and support to patients and families.
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
- Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans to meet those needs.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- NYS licensed/registered RN with prior experience in an outpatient setting, preferably in a specialty area.
- Current CPR certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.
- At least one year of Medical/Surgical nursing experience.
- Work Days: Monday through Friday, daytime hours.
