Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Service Specialist to join our team at American Oncology Management Company. As a Patient Service Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide quality customer service to patients and their families, responding to their needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collect and process patient information, including demographic data, medical history, and insurance information.
  • Schedule appointments and maintain accurate records of patient appointments, including follow-up appointments and referrals.
  • Process patient payments and handle billing and insurance-related tasks.
  • Assist with medical records management, including scanning and filing documents, and maintaining accurate records of patient charts.
  • Provide support to physicians and other healthcare professionals, including preparing charts and documents for patient visits.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information with discretion.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree preferred.
  • Minimum one year of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a physician's office.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMRs) and other healthcare software systems.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and coding systems.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Work Environment

This is a full-time position, working Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 4:30pm. Occasional overtime may be required, and weekend shifts may be necessary based on location hours and operational needs.
