We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Hackensack Meridian Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a critical role in producing high-quality images that aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
Responsibilities- Review patient charts and physician orders to determine optimal imaging parameters for suspected pathology.
- Select the appropriate imaging coil for each study.
- Perform imaging studies using proper scanning techniques and protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians to optimize MRI sequences and produce high-quality images.
- Administer contrast media in accordance with department protocols.
- Verify patient pregnancy status and obtain consent documentation when necessary.
- Determine patient preparedness for procedures and document diagnostic and patient data.
- Perform post-processing techniques to optimize imaging or studies.
- Draw up sterile contrast media and solutions following hospital infection control guidelines.
- Administer emergency care, including CPR, as needed.
- Screen patients for contraindications and ensure MRI safety.
- Work scheduled shifts, including holidays and weekends, and be available for overtime and on-call assignments.
- Perform daily clerical duties, including EMR, PACS, and Teletracking System usage.
- Provide exceptional patient care and adhere to hospital policies and standards.
- Compliance with ARRT or ARMRIT MRI educational and clinical requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.
- Minimum of one year of MRI experience preferred.
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certification or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Tech required.
- AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification required.
