Job Summary and Qualifications
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Registered Nurse will deliver professional nursing care to patients using the nursing process, collaborating with healthcare team members, including physicians, to ensure high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patient conditions upon admission and during each shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes.
- Execute medical procedures and monitor patient responses as directed by healthcare providers, ensuring accurate documentation in medical records.
- Administer prescribed medications, observing for therapeutic effects and responding appropriately to any adverse reactions.
- Provide exceptional patient care by addressing requests promptly and anticipating needs.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers regarding medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care, ensuring clarity and understanding.
Qualifications:
Licensure:
Current Registered Nursing License in Texas or a Compact state is required.
Certifications:
Basic Cardiac Life Support certification is required.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Nursing Science is preferred; an Associate's degree or Diploma in Nursing is required.
Experience:
Experience in Medical/Surgical Nursing is preferred.
Skills:
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential. Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving abilities are required. Basic computer proficiency is necessary.
