Job Summary

The University of Virginia Health System seeks a highly skilled and experienced Administrator to lead the Dialysis Services program. This key leadership role is responsible for the management and leadership of dialysis centers, programs, and outreach for the UVA Health System.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Chief Ambulatory Operations Officer to provide strategic direction and leadership within Dialysis.
  • Lead operations for the Dialysis units, including setting and achieving goals and objectives, and resolving key operational issues.
  • Identify opportunities for clinical practice and efficiency/effectiveness in patient care delivery in partnership with the CAOO and associate chief medical officer.
  • Establish and monitor service, growth, and financial metrics, and propose annual goals to improve care and clinical outcomes.
  • Collaborate across UVA Health to address operational and performance issues impacting Dialysis goals.
  • Partner with administrative and clinical leaders to develop measures with proper benchmarks to track and report improvements in care and operations.
  • Manage the performance of staff and resources of dialysis clinics, promoting teamwork between/among all clinical areas within ambulatory operations.
  • Ensure compliance with Medical Center, University, State, and federal policies for all areas, including privacy, confidentiality, billing, etc.
  • Serve as a role model for the corporate and cultural values of the Health System.
Requirements
  • Masters of Business Administration or Master's degree in Nursing required.
  • Minimum seven years health care experience with progressive management responsibilities in area of renal and dialysis services.
  • Licensure: If an MSN degree, licensed to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.
  • Applicable specialty and/or administration certification strongly preferred at hire or within 3 years.
