Job Description

This position is responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of assigned oil and gas processing equipment, including the identification of problems or potential problems; documentation and production reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Intermediate level operator position with a focus on safe operating practices and compliance with Company Environment, Safety & Regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and maintain all oil and gas production equipment, including SCADA systems, separators, flow lines, engines, compressors, tanks, ECDs, etc.
  • Perform intermediate level lease operating skills, including SCADA systems, tank gauging, proper operation of three phase gas separators, heater treaters, line heaters, Pumping Units, Plunger Lift, Gas Lift systems and all VRUs, VRTs, VRLs and seal records.
  • Prepare oil tanks for sale of product, contact dispatch on both oil and water loads to ensure produced fluids are taken from the lease sites in a timely manner.
  • Monitor assigned wells to ensure production is optimized.
  • Perform operations checks of wells and production facilities to gather data, conduct maintenance, and ensure housekeeping meets expectations.
  • Evaluate and read gas meters, tank gauges, as well as convert measurements to ensure accurate and efficient documentation of lease operations.
  • Operate a company vehicle safely, adhere to all driving laws and company vehicle use policies.
  • Synchronize production data daily to provide timely production data to all users.
  • Conduct inspections as required to ensure compliance with Federal, State, Local and Company requirements.
  • Participate in route reviews to share knowledge of wells and facilities with Foreman, Production Engineering, Facility Engineering and other operational teams.
  • Build positive public image through daily landowner interaction.
  • Perform more complex maintenance and troubleshooting, replace, and/or repair.
  • Work in all weather conditions including rain, snow, mud, etc. – work is performed in hazardous driving and working conditions all season of the year.
  • Follow safe operating practices and ensure compliance with CIVI Environment, Safety & Regulatory requirements.
  • Assure work performed adheres to CIVI standards.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Basic to intermediate math and computer skills are required.
  • Demonstrated team player with good attitude and work ethic, flexible and good interpersonal skills.
  • Must have valid driver's license and be able to pass a driving and criminal background check.
  • Must be willing to work overtime as required.

Work Environment:

  • Work is performed at a CIVI location Tuesday through Thursday, with the option to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays as business needs allow and with manager approval.
  • Schedule: Traditional 40-hour workweek or an alternative schedule of 9-hour workdays Monday through Thursday and 4-hour workdays on Friday, as business needs allow and with manager approval.
