Job Title: Control Room Operator

Insight Global is seeking a highly skilled Control Room Operator to join our team in Midland, TX. As a Control Room Operator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production facilities and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and coordinate logistical activities to ensure efficient production operations
  • Identify and troubleshoot abnormal operating and equipment conditions
  • Act as a liaison between various field teams during emergency and abnormal operating conditions
  • Utilize SCADA systems, such as Cygnet, to monitor and control production facilities and wells
  • Participate in alarm management and rationalization to minimize safety risks and economic losses
  • Dispatch Lease Operators to the well when problems occur and direct oil trucks when necessary
  • Intake and input maintenance work-orders through K-2 and provide daily updates to stakeholders via Teams and generated reports
  • Coordinate services for various field teams, including construction, drilling, completions, frac fleet services, flowback, and production
  • Develop various reports for distribution and communication between field teams using products such as Microsoft Excel, SharePoint, or Power BI
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of industry experience in a Control Room Operator, Lease Operator, Automation Technician, or Production Technician role
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency using SCADA systems, such as Cygnet
  • Advanced knowledge of production processing equipment
  • Knowledge of water recycle/disposal and artificial lift systems
  • Ability to work a 12-hour rotating schedule and sit for prolonged periods of time
Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Well Optimization experience
  • Experience operating compression
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in well surveillance programs, such as LOWIS, XSPOC, or Foresite
  • Downhole and BHA equipment knowledge
  • Experience in EOR, waterflood, CO2 injection, or steam injection
