Houston Christian University is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Professor of Criminal Justice to join our faculty in the Department of Philosophy, History, Law & Society. As a key member of our academic team, you will be responsible for teaching undergraduate courses in our Criminal Justice program, as well as contributing to the development of our curriculum and academic programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach undergraduate courses in Criminal Justice, including face-to-face, online, and hybrid formats.
  • Develop and implement curriculum for our Criminal Justice program, ensuring alignment with university and departmental goals.
  • Conduct research and scholarly activities in the field of Criminal Justice, with a focus on areas such as forensic science, corrections, victimology, policing, juvenile delinquency, or cybersecurity.
  • Engage in service activities to the College, University, and community, including advising students, participating in departmental and university committees, and contributing to community outreach initiatives.
Qualifications
  • A terminal degree in a criminal justice-related academic discipline.
  • Teaching experience, with a focus on undergraduate education.
  • Experience and scholarship in at least one of the following areas: forensic science, corrections, victimology, policing, juvenile delinquency, or cybersecurity.
