Key Responsibilities
- Under the guidance of nursing and medical personnel, perform essential duties of a PCT I, including assisting patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and eating.
- Monitor and document patients' progress, providing updates to Registered Nurses or other healthcare professionals.
- Measure and record vital signs and collect samples for laboratory analysis.
- Facilitate basic patient transport and maintain cleanliness in patient areas.
- Additionally, this role involves tracking patients' intake and output, assisting with mobility exercises, and performing blood draws.
Qualifications
Essential Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Certification in Basic Life Support.
- Ability to perform competently in at least two general practice areas (cross-trained to cover multiple roles).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited CNA, PCT, or paramedic program, or current enrollment in a nursing program.
- At least two years of experience in acute or long-term care settings is preferred.
- Proficiency in phlebotomy is highly desirable.
