Job Summary:

Texas Health Resources is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Labor and Delivery team. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
  • Assess the patient's needs and develop individualized plans of care
  • Implement and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions
  • Incorporate age-specific safety and infection control measures into patient care
  • Initiate action to meet patient and/or significant others' needs for information
  • Maintain continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers

Requirements:

  • Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred
  • RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire required
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
  • ACLS – within 90 days of hire
  • NRP – within 90 days of hire
  • NRPA - within 90 days of hire
  • CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training - within 90 days of hire
  • 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse or completion of an RN residency program required
  • 1 year of RN experience in L&D strongly preferred
