Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional nursing care for Perinatal patients, including assessing patient, family, and staff learning needs, delivering appropriate clinical education, and promoting effective working relationships.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of dedicated professionals to develop and implement a care plan, including providing detailed care instructions.
  • Float between units as needed, with main responsibility to the Perinatal Units at the University of California.
  • Develop and implement patient care plans actively involving patients, family, and staff.

Requirements:

  • Current California RN licensure
  • BSN or MSN
  • BCLS from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
  • NRPrequired
  • 2 years Perinatal experience
  • Skill in implementing appropriate nursing interventions on a consistent basis
  • Ability to perform historical, physical, and behavioral patient assessments
