Job Summary

About the Role:

This is a mechanical HVAC service and repair position at Johnson Controls International, where you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in the field.

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an HVAC Service Technician Apprentice. As an apprentice, you will work closely with our experienced technicians to learn the skills and techniques required to perform mechanical equipment service and repair.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform mechanical equipment service and repair under the direction of experienced technicians.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.
  • Respond to service calls and maintain communication with customers and stakeholders.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
  • Participate in on-the-job training and education programs to develop skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Currently enrolled in the Local 449 apprentice program.
  • Familiarity with HVAC equipment and systems.
  • Ability to perform general building maintenance.
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently.
  • Current driver's license.
  • Willingness to supplement on-the-job training.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with HVAC-related applications and Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • EPA Refrigeration certification.
