We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef and Operations Manager to lead our culinary team at the Black Bear Tavern.

Salary:

$60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee day-to-day culinary operations, ensuring seamless execution of menu items and maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Coordinate food and kitchenware orders, managing inventory levels and minimizing waste.
  • Closely monitor the freshness and quality of ingredients, sourcing local suppliers when possible.
  • Collaborate with management to develop new menu items, refining recipes and presentations to exceed guest expectations.
  • Standardize recipes and plate presentations across all dishes, enhancing consistency and visual appeal.
  • Work closely with management to create a memorable experience for guests, driving customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in executive chef roles or related fields, with a proven track record of success.
  • Knowledge of cost and labor systems, ensuring efficient operation and optimal profitability.
  • A passion for food and cooking techniques, staying up-to-date with industry trends and innovations.
  • Strong leadership qualities, capable of guiding and motivating a diverse team.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks and deadlines with ease.
