Job Title: Survey Technician/Senior Survey Technician

At Timmons Group, we are seeking a highly skilled Survey Technician or Senior Survey Technician to join our Survey Group in our Staunton, VA office. As a key member of our team, you will assist in the application of principles, methods, and techniques of land surveying.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare subdivision plats, boundary surveys, and easement plats
  • Develop parcel descriptions and staking maps for subdivisions, infrastructure improvements, and site plans
  • Prepare cutsheets and construction take-offs
  • Draft topographical surveys and create digital terrain models
  • Perform limited courthouse research and submit plats for jurisdictional approval
  • Collaborate with project managers and group leaders to ensure project success
  • May substitute in the field when necessary
Requirements:
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as safety rules, project budgets, and jurisdictional platting requirements
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions, as well as work with mathematical concepts such as trigonometry and geometry
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
