Position Summary:
As a key member of our healthcare team, you will deliver exceptional outpatient obstetric care in a supportive and nurturing environment. Your role will involve collaborating with the medical staff on various strategic initiatives while fulfilling additional responsibilities as needed.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including detailed medical histories and physical examinations, to provide appropriate prenatal and postnatal care.
- Utilize electronic medical records to document clinical activities accurately and efficiently.
- Coordinate with specialists such as Perinatologists and Lactation Consultants to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain effective communication with patients, offering education and support tailored to their cultural needs.
- Exhibit clinical proficiency that meets or surpasses community standards in obstetrics and primary care.
- Collaborate with Laborists to ensure seamless outpatient care for obstetric patients.
- Engage in continuous professional development through peer reviews and adherence to clinic quality improvement protocols.
- Oversee the work of Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, and other healthcare trainees, ensuring compliance with established procedures and regulations.
- Contribute positively to clinic initiatives aimed at enhancing patient satisfaction.
- Strive to meet productivity goals while delivering high-quality medical care.
- Arrive punctually for shifts and fulfill all time commitments.
- Participate actively in medical staff meetings and clinic discussions.
- Adhere to health care regulations and protocols related to infectious diseases.
- Perform additional duties as assigned within the scope of practice.
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine program.
- Board Certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
- Valid California medical license without restrictions.
- Good standing with the California State Licensing Board.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Experience in outpatient settings, particularly with underserved populations.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
