Position Overview:
The primary role of an Industrial Machinery Technician involves the installation, disassembly, and relocation of machinery and equipment based on layout plans, blueprints, and other technical drawings within industrial settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret blueprints and schematic drawings to establish work procedures.
  • Dismantle machinery using various hand tools, including hammers, wrenches, and crowbars.
  • Transport machinery and equipment utilizing hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks.
  • Assemble and install equipment such as winders, extruders, presses, CNC machinery, shafting, conveyors, and tram rails with hand and power tools.
  • Construct machine foundations using hand tools and materials like wood, cement, grout, and steel.
  • Align machinery and equipment using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, and plumb bobs.
  • Assemble machines and secure them to foundations or other structures using hand and power tools.
  • Perform maintenance and lubrication on machinery and equipment as required, utilizing optical alignment and dial indicators for precision.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 3 years of verifiable experience in a related field.
  • Ability to work within precise limits or standards of accuracy.
  • Capability to follow instructions and interpret blueprints.
  • Comfortable working at heights.
  • Logical and methodical approach to tasks.
  • Strong planning and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to make informed decisions based on measurable data.
  • Flexibility to perform a variety of tasks that may change frequently.
  • Experience operating machinery.
  • Possibility of demonstrating craft certification through a written and/or performance test by an independent third party.
