Job Title: Senior Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team at EssilorLuxottica. As a key member of our accounting team, you will be responsible for various function-based accounting activities, including estimates, budgeting, and forecasting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in all function-based accounting activities, including revenue deferrals, selling expenses, G&A expenses, marketing, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Perform all month-end close items, reconcile balance sheets, and assist with month-end reporting duties.
  • Responsible for various function-based accounting activities, such as revenue deferrals, recording of legal expense, marketing, depreciation, etc.
  • Interact with accounting, finance, and operations partners in North America and across the world.
  • Prepare/review reconciliations for various balance sheet accounts, analyze balances to ensure accuracy, and communicate unreconciled items to management.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and IFRS accounting requirements, as well as Sarbanes-Oxley regulations.
  • Work directly with internal and external auditors to ensure successful and timely completion of internal audits and quarterly/annual reviews.
  • Proactively identify and implement process improvements as necessary.
  • Complete special project work as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
  • 3+ years of comparable experience.
  • Strong Accounting background.
  • Strong critical thinking skills.
  • Highly analytical.
  • Self-disciplined/self-motivated.
  • In-depth understanding of internal controls and segregation of duties.
  • Intermediate MS Excel and Word skills.
  • Ability to effectively work within 2 different SAP systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Solid organizational and multi-tasking skills.
  • Demonstrate willingness and ability to be a self-starter, taking the initiative to solve problems.
  • Demonstrate the ability and desire to initiate and successfully accomplish personal and business goals.
  • Ability to analyze problems, to compile data, to determine facts and reach a logical conclusion.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
  • Constructively challenge the process and take the initiative to search for opportunities to grow, improve and innovate.
  • Effective time management, organizational and communication skills (both written and oral).
  • Ability to interact professionally with coworkers, management and customers.
  • Ability to build strong business relationships in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • MBA and/or Master's Degree in Accounting.
  • CPA.
  • SAP implementation experience.
